A three year jail sentence was handed down recently at Bolton Crown Court to a fraudulent insurance broker. As reported on thisislancashire.co.uk, Clive Hesketh, who had been trading under the name of Pinnacle Insurance Services, had sold a number of professional indemnity insurance policies to local law firms. But, unfortunately, he failed to pass on the policy premiums to the insurers. Meaning that his clients were never actually covered. As one of them discovered after making a direct approach to the company he thought was insuring his practice. |
